Yeehaw…

September 30, 2008

I entered some pictures in the local fair at the absolute very last second and actually won some first place ribbons and even a best of show ribbon! I think this is my first big fancy ribbon I have ever won!

I entered 7 and all 5 of my portraits received blue ribbons, but my 2 landscapes received second place. Looks like I will be sticking to portrait photography. ;0)

Dress her up like a tiger and tell her that this time it is actually OK to pretend to be a tiger while mommy takes pictures of her! This was another one for Huggalugs and it was fun! We went all out and bought the ears and tail and even face paint (which turns out… I am NOT very good at). I think she was making the growling face in at least 90% of these pictures.

First trip to the dentist!

September 25, 2008

I know…. another personal post when I should be working on sneak peeks, but I have to share Miss Marley's first trip to the dentist. I should have taken her quite a while ago probably, but have been putting it off for soooo long. She was wonderful and had zero cavities! They didn't even mind the crazy lady in the corner taking pictures. ;0)

Ms. Marley turns 4 next week and I can't even believe it. Those 4 years went by waaaay too fast. 4 is an awesome age, but it is sad to think that you will never see your child as a little tiny baby ever again. She has a great spirit and loves animals and insects. She is a bit over dramatic at times and swears that the movie Barbie and the Diamond Castle… changed her life. Her words! Not mine! Sometimes I try to think what my children might be when they grow up. I think Adalei will be something crazy like a professional skydiver or something terryfying like that. Marley is just going to be sweet forever. Maybe a veterinarian who always trys to save the little guys even down to the hampsters and hermit crabs. I guess we will see and I am certainly in no rush!

I went to Vegas!

September 17, 2008

Sorta…. Well, my pics did. This is the Huggalugs booth at the ABC Kids expo in Vegas. My friend Carol took this pic and sent it to me. Look closely and you will see a lot of my pics!

Okay, so I HAVE to share a sneak peek from these two. I am LOVING all of these pictures. I ran home and immediately started working on checking these out. I do have a bunch of really great ones with everyone looking at the camera, but I have decided this one is my favorite. I like the way everyone in the picture is doing something different. And no, Nina, I am still not going to admit these are favorite from the night. Lets just say I have a list of client pictures that are going to be hanging in my studio when it is done and this one is VERY far up that list. ;0)
